1. What AutoSnaps is
AutoSnaps is a marketplace connecting photographers who shoot car events with the owners and enthusiasts who want those photos. Photographers upload and price their own work; buyers purchase digital downloads. AutoSnaps operates the platform, processes payments, and takes a commission from each sale — the rest goes to the photographer, less the payment processing fee (see section 3).
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate details when creating an account and keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, upload unlawful content, or abuse the platform.
3. Photographers
By uploading, you confirm you took the photos (or hold the rights to sell them) and that selling them doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. You keep the copyright in your work. You grant AutoSnaps a licence to display watermarked previews and thumbnails to market your work on the platform and in promotional material. You're responsible for the accuracy of your listings and for complying with any rules of the events you photograph. Payouts are made via Stripe to your connected account; you're responsible for your own tax affairs. Your payout on a sale is the sale price less the AutoSnaps commission and less the payment processing fee charged by Stripe on that transaction, which is deducted from the photographer's share. Where an order contains photos from more than one photographer, the processing fee is split between them in proportion to their share of the order. The current commission rate is shown in your dashboard, and we'll give notice before changing it.
4. Photo licence for buyers
When you buy a photo you receive the full-resolution file and a personal-use licence: you may print it, share it on your personal social media, and use it as wallpapers/profile images. Credit to the photographer is appreciated but not required. You may not resell the photo, claim it as your own work, use it commercially (advertising, merchandise, editorial sale), or remove photographer attribution where present, unless you agree an extended licence with the photographer directly. Copyright remains with the photographer.
5. Payments, refunds & cancellations
Payments are processed by Stripe; AutoSnaps doesn't store card details. Because photos are digital goods delivered instantly, you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge the statutory 14-day cancellation right for digital content ends once the download is made available. If a file is corrupt, materially misdescribed, or you were charged in error, contact us and we'll make it right — see the refund policy.
6. Acceptable use
Don't upload unlawful, infringing, or private content (including photos that identify people in ways that breach their privacy rights); don't scrape, rip previews, or circumvent watermarks; don't use the platform to send spam.
7. Liability
The platform is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, AutoSnaps is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or the conduct of photographers or buyers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
